As I handed over the charge of the career guidance cell of Vimala College today, to Dr.
V.V.Rose of the Department of English, with a feeling accomplishment, I have a
thousand well-wishers and friends like you to whom I owe a lot. Your thoughts, words,
deeds have always been behind this achievement. Even last year 26 students were placed
in different institutions including P&T and Infosys. This is just to express my heart felt
gratitude for all that you have done for me. Not a formality, but a mind, full of gratitude
that compels me to tell you just a few words from the depth of my heart.

then it clearly represents the current state of INDIA. Do think about

The Ant works hard in the withering heat all summer building its house and
laying up supplies for the winter. The Grasshopper thinks the Ant is a fool
and laughs dances plays the summer away. Come winter, the Ant is warm and
well fed. The Grasshopper has no food or shelter so he dies out in the
cold.
(****************New Indian Version***************):
The Ant works hard in the withering heat all summer building its house and
laying up supplies for the winter. The Grasshopper thinks the Ant's a fool
and laughs dances plays the summer away.
Come winter, the shivering Grasshopper calls a press conference and demands
to know why the Ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while others
are cold and starving.
NDTV, BBC, CNN show up to provide pictures of the shivering Grasshopper
next to a video of the Ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with
food.
The World is stunned by the sharp contrast. How can this be that this poor
Grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?
Arundhati Roy stages a demonstration in front of the Ant's house.
Medha Patkar goes on a fast along with other Grasshoppers demanding that
Grasshoppers be relocated to warmer climates during winter .
Mayawati states this as 'injustice' done on Minorities.
Amnesty International and Koffi Annan criticize the Indian Government for
not upholding the fundamental rights of the Grasshopper.
The Internet is flooded with online petitions seeking support to the
Grasshopper (many promising Heaven & Everlasting Peace for prompt support
as against the wrath of God for non-compliance) .
Opposition MPs stage a walkout. Left parties call for 'Bengal Bandh' in
West Bengal and Kerala demanding a Judicial Enquiry.
CPM in Kerala immediately passes a law preventing Ants from working hard in
the heat so as to bring about equality of poverty among Ants and
Grasshoppers.
Lalu Prasad allocates one free coach to Grasshoppers on all Indian Railway
Trains, aptly named as the 'Grasshopper Rath'.
Finally, the Judicial Committee drafts the 'Prevention of Terrorism Against
Grasshoppers Act'[POTAGA], with effect from the beginning of the winter.
Arjun Singh makes 'Special Reservation' for Grasshoppers in Educational
Institutions in Government Services.
The Ant is fined for failing to comply with POTAGA and having nothing left
to pay his retroactive taxes, it's home is confiscated by the Government
and handed over to the Grasshopper in a ceremony covered by NDTV, BBC, CNN.
Arundhati Roy calls it 'A Triumph of Justice'.
Lalu calls it 'Socialistic Justice'.
CPM calls it the 'Revolutionary Resurgence of the Downtrodden'
Koffi Annan invites the Grasshopper to address the UN General Assembly.
Many years later...
The Ant has since migrated to the US and set up a multi-billion dollar
company in Silicon Valley,
100s of Grasshoppers still die of starvation despite reservation somewhere
in India ,
...AND
As a result of losing lot of hard working Ants and feeding the
grasshoppers, India is still a developing country...!!

Jessica Cox of Tucson was born without arms, but that has only stopped her from doing one thing: using the word "can't." Her latest flight into the seemingly impossible is becoming the first pilot licensed to fly using only her feet. With one foot manning the controls and the other delicately guiding the steering column, Cox, 25, soared to achieve a Sport Pilot certificate. Her certificate qualifies her to fly a light-sport aircraft to altitudes of 10,000 feet. "She's a good pilot. She's rock solid," said Parrish Traweek, 42, the flying instructor at San Manuel's Ray Blair Airport. Parrish Traweek runs PC Aircraft Maintenance and Flight Services and has trained many pilots, some of whom didn't come close to Cox's abilities. "When she came up here driving a car," Traweek recalled, "I knew she'd have no problem flying a plane."   Doctors never learned why she was born without arms, but she figured out early on that she didn't want to use prosthetic devices.

The decorated sheds( Panthals) inside the round, on the main road are not for beautification alone, but for protection from the boiling Sun too..The art behind its construction is wonderful. It too takes days of effort, dis comfort for vehicle drivers, devotees and all..Yet when finished, we forget all negative feelings and enjoy illumination at nights.-Maya

Humans do everything for filling the stomach but we, the elephants eat to live, not live to eat. A slow process taking hours at times, chewing, enjoying every bit of the food. All the thirty elephants are offered coconut leaf as food, which they enjoy..-Maya

What is so special about Thrissur Pooram to be world famous?
Elephants being transported by lorry and deloaded.A process which needs skill, tact, and faith.This elephant could not reach the ground by its leg when trying to get down, it took some time to convice him that he is safe and he can do.

WHAT HAPPENS IN HEAVEN
This is one of the nicest e-mails I have seen and is so true:
I dreamt that I went to Heaven and an angel was showing me around. We walked side-by-side inside a large workroom filled with angels.
My angel guide stopped in front of the first section and said, 'This Is the Receiving Section. Here, all petitions to GOD said in prayer are Received..'
I looked around in this area, and it was terribly busy with so many angels sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheets and scraps from people all over the world..
Then we moved on down a long corridor until we reached the second section.
The angel then said to me, 'This is the Packaging and Delivery Section. Here, the graces and blessings the people asked for are processed and delivered to the living persons who asked for them.'
I noticed again how busy it was there. There were many angels working hard at that station, since so many blessings had been requested and were being packaged for delivery to Earth
Finally at the farthest end of the long corridor we stopped at the Door of a very small station To my great surprise, only one angel was Seated there, idly doing nothing. 'This is the Acknowledgment Section,' My angel friend quietly admitted to me. He seemed embarrassed 'How Is it that there is no work going on here?' I asked.
'So sad,' the angel sighed. 'After people receive the blessings that they asked For, very few send back acknowledgments .'
'How does one acknowledge GOD's blessings?' I asked.
'Simple,' the angel answered. Just say, 'Thank you, LORD.'
'What blessings should they acknowledge?' I asked.
'If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of this world. If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy .'
'And if you get this on your own computer, you are part of the 1% in the world who has that opportunity.'
Also ......
' If you woke up this morning with more health than illness ... You are more blessed than the many who will not even survive this day .'
'If you have never experienced the fear in battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation .. You are ahead of 700 million people in the world.'

'If you can hold your head up and smile, you are not the norm, you're unique to all those in doubt and despair.'
Ok, what now? How can I start?
If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in that someone was thinking of you as very special and you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world who cannot read at all.

I had met my sister Sasikala for a function and she asked me to ask you to ring up to the Principal Dr.Sujatha of Cochin Refinery School. Tell her that Sasikala had given her phone and other details and had asked you to call her. But Sasi ,.. they will give you a chance only 3 days before re opening of the school on June first. But call her, talk to her, give her my referance as Sasikaledathy's sister. Fix appointment for the programme in June now, if they don't need your class now. Snehamulla ente Sasikk Now that you have made up your mind to quit Govt.job, can I open my mind? Let me first of all tell you that I am not an outsider. Very much your mother, though intellectually may not be up to your mark, definitely one with you emotionally and spiritually. At last we both are coming to the same conclusion.
BECOMING IS ARTIFICIAL. BEING IS HIGHER. BEING IS LIFE ITSELF. (Can
we afford to be as we are? At least at times don’t u feel the need to be
artificial? Are u not forced to?)
GOD IS NOT PERFECT. THUS MAN TOO. (Don’t u feel need to be better
some times? Are u satisfied with your self always? I feel the need often)
THESE ARE PERCEPTIONS. (True, unless u can perceive you can not try)
THOUGHTS AND KNOWLEDGE ARE DYNAMIC. AND THUS PERFECTION IS RELATIVE
TOO.(See once perfection is reached, you can’t grow. It is then alone that u
can strive towards goal)
INTELLECT AND EMOTION ALWAYS ARE IN CONFLICT. SPIRITUAL HAVE NO
DESIRE AND LOGIC. THUS HAVE ALWAYS THE VAIRAGYAM, AND IN LIFE THE BEAUTY AND
ENJOYMENT ARE NON-SPIRITUAL. BALANCING THESE IS WHAT LIFE IS. (True and that is
what we strive at.)
THE DAY WILL NEVER REACH AND DESIRE REMAINS.(Yes that is why we
dream, which never is realized)
DREAM. MANY ARE DESTINED TO SUFFER AND LIVE WITH NO REJOICE OF LIFE,
FOR NOT OF THEIR MISTAKES.(Never a person suffers due to dream. This is the
driving force for men to do some thing-not being a monk, sacrificing every
thing. Relisability of the dream may some times make u suffer, if you dream
impossible making no effort)
LUCKY THEY ARE. WITH WISDOM FILLED WITH OPPORTUNITY, SKILL AND BLESSINGS.(No
one is offered any thing. Even the birds have to search for food-Right?)
QUALITY IS RELATIVE. TIMELY IS MORE OPTIMAL THAN THE BEST. TIME
PROVES AND CORRECTS. DRTPS IS NOT PERFECT TILL HIS DEATH. WILL FIND AND ALWAYS
BELIEVE THAT BETTER QUALITY PEOPLE ARE AROUND AND WILL WAIT FOR THEM TO WRITE,
OR WAIT FOR ME TO BE MATURED MORE AND BY THEN, I MAY HAVE NOTHING TO WRITE. (
Son no body will be perfect and that gives the scope for improvement. I stated
already that the process of becoming is a life long process)
PEOPLE LIKE MW, THUS MY BOOK TOO.(liking you and your book is
different)
SOME ONE LIKED THE BOOK, AND THUS ME TOO. (I like you but I didn’t
like the organization and content of the book. I am criticizing your work and
not you or your ideas)
SOME ONE SAYS THE BOOK IS BAD AND THUS ME TOO.(That is because
usually when I do a work, I put a bit of my self into it and an outsider
expects it from all)
SOME ONE THINK THAT I AM GOOD AND THE BOOK IS NOT SO, AND I CAN DO
BETTER. HOPE SO !!(True Amma can assess your capability and I feel strongly so.
But remember, liking u is not connected to liking the book or any thing u do.
Love is unconditional. It ought to be so)
